“For Sabah, this is important as we strive to build an inclusive and harmonious society anchored on our development roadmap, the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya, where we have stressed the importance of human capital and included it as one of the main thrusts of our development plan.

“We are committed to building the strengths and skillsets through the various initiatives we have implemented.

“It is also a testament to the effective and strategic inter-government cooperation between the State and Federal Governments.

“I believe such efforts should not end with this conference alone. We must continue to strengthen such partnerships and develop strategic initiatives to enhance our workforce and talent development efforts.”

Hajiji reiterated that the conference was an excellent platform for all relevant participants from Sabah and Sarawak to discuss their human capital challenges and opportunities meaningfully.

“Use this opportunity to learn from the experts as well on how to adopt innovative solutions, garner data-driven insights and utilise key analytics for effective decision-making,” he said.
