
Kota Kinabalu: The State Government will continue strengthening its collaboration with the Education Ministry to drive educational excellence and produce competitive human capital, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
In a speech delivered by Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister, Datuk Isnin Aliasnih, at the 50th Sabah and Labuan Secondary School Principals’ Education Management Convention on Monday, Hajiji reaffirmed the state's commitment to upgrading educational infrastructure and school welfare.
He highlighted that various educational assistance initiatives introduced between 2021 and 2025 will continue in order to ensure no Sabahan is denied access to higher education due to financial constraints.
Commending local principals, Hajiji credited school leaders for improving Sabah’s State Average Grade in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examination to the 4-point range and achieving a historic top performance of 4.85 in the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia results.
He added that school principals serve as key architects in driving digital innovation and leading the implementation of the incoming Malaysia Education Plan 2026–2035.
