Sabah Council of Datuks brought Raya joy to orphans

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Council of Datuks (MDNS) brought Raya joy to 39 orphans at the Tuaran Home and Maahad Tahfiz, recently “Helping the underprivileged is always in our hearts,” said MDNS President Datuk Claudius Roman, in a statement, in Kota Kinabalu, recently.

Present were Vice President Datuk Jikulin Nointin, Secretary General Datuk Katherine Lee, Treasurer General Datuk Wilis Ansoi, Assistant Secretary General Datuk Dr G Mohan G Naidoo, Assistant Treasurer General Datuk Ng Lai Su and Committee Members Datuk William Mojinbon and Datuk Flora Evaritus.

“We are pleased to contribute as a non-governmental organisation to a humanitarian cause for those in need and underprivileged, as well as to enhance the good works of the government under Malaysia Madani and Sabah Maju Jaya,” said Claudius.

Tuaran Home is located in Kg Bolong Tuaran and houses 70 orphans.

MDNS also contributed 500 cartons of bottled water to seven villages in Inanam in view of the water shortage.

The villages are Kg Naalap, Kg Binaung Baru, Kg Kapayan, Kg T Silou / Tampasak, Kg Tenggiling, Kg Lanit and Kg Tamalang Silou.

The bottled water was sponsored by Kilang Papan Hiong Tiong Sdn Bhd, Inanam.
