KOTA KINABALU: Sabah DAP is open to political cooperation with Barisan Nasional (BN) for the 17th state election, but insists that any collaboration must prioritize the people’s interests.
Chairman Phoong Jin Zhe welcomed BN’s partnership with Pakatan Harapan (PH) Sabah, noting the political stability brought by the Federal Unity Government.
He stressed that cooperation should be based on shared policies for Sabah's development, not just electoral gain.
Phoong emphasized that post-election stability is crucial for investor confidence and Sabah's long-term success.
Sabah PH chairman Datuk Ewon Benedick has yet to respond, as he is attending the State Assembly.
