Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) online appointment system will no longer be available from Oct 1.

Customers can go straight to the counters at any SESB offices to get their matters done, said SESB in a notice on its SESB Careline Facebook Page.

According to the notice, there are still many online services available via the MySESB app, including application for new electricity supply, change of customers’ accounts or deactivation of accounts and request for transfer of meter.

Customers can also check and pay their bills online via the app or through their website at www.mysesb.com.my or through their kiosk machines.

They can also go to designated agents, including POS Malaysia, GrabPay, Shopee, Touch & Go, Lazada, Boost, IOS apps, e-pay terminals like Shell, Petronas, Petron and KK Mart and TM Point to pay their electricity bills.

The online appointment system was introduced early last year to, among others, reduce physical contact between staff and customers as well as to make it easier for customers to settle related matters amid the Covid-19 situation at that time.

The services provided via the online system back then were for new applications, change of name and closing of accounts.
