Kota Kinabalu: The electricity tariff in Sabah remains or at least until it receives stable supply.
Sabah Public Works (JKR) Minister, Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin said the price is set by the Energy Commission.
“No decision has been made by the State Cabinet on the matter,” he said, to rumours.
There was talk that TNB would hike up the rates in Johor in light of soaring gas prices due to the war in Ukraine and sanctions on Russian oil.
Meanwhile, Bung encouraged more Sabah engineers and architects to take the Professional Assessment Examination.
He said only two architects in Sabah JKR bear the ingenieur title.
“This would be necessary in the future when dealing with the Federal Government. Go and take it, the State Government supports you. We also want to be dignified..and there are certain policies involved when dealing with professionals. Without it, then…” he said.
