Sabah, Federal Govt conclude MA63 health talks

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah and the Federal Government have concluded negotiations on health matters under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) and are now moving towards implementation.

The conclusion was reached during the Sabah Health Development Joint Action Committee meeting on Monday, attended by Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad and State Women, Health and People's Wellbeing Minister Datuk Julita Majungki, among others.

Key outcomes include RM1.57 billion for 53 health projects, including a new RM125 million heart centre and an RM82 million rural clinic in Sapulut, as well as 607 new health positions in Sabah and a commitment to increase the State's health budget by five per cent annually to RM4 billion by 2030.
