KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Umno chief Datuk Seri Bung Mokhar Radin criticized STAR president Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan for rejecting the local party Warisan after the 2018 state election.

He argued that Jeffrey should have supported Warisan instead of joining the Malaya-based Barisan Nasional (BN) if he truly believed in the slogan "Sabah for Sabahan".

Bung pointed out that both Warisan and BN won 29 seats each in 2018, yet Jeffrey chose BN, which contradicts his proclaimed principle. Bung challenged Jeffrey, calling him insincere and open to debate.
