KOTA KINABALU: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) youth chief Datuk Fairuz Renddan (pic) has reaffirmed that the State Government, led by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, will not compromise or allow any cartel to exploit Sabah’s natural resources for profit.
Fairuz commended Hajiji’s decision to reject 21 mining exploration licences linked to Albert Tei, stating that such measures are necessary to prevent irresponsible external parties from plundering Sabah’s wealth.
He stressed that rejecting these licences was a major decision to protect Sabah’s resources from monopolisation, ensuring that the rights and interests of Sabahans remain safeguarded.
Fairuz also criticised former MACC chief Latheefa Koya for defending Albert Tei, who had been linked to a corruption scandal involving nine leaked videos and messages.
