Sabah group plans business forum in China

Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Young Business and Industry Leaders Association (Sybil) said they planned to organise a Sabah Business Forum in China's Jiang Xi province next April.

Its president, James Wong, told Daily Express the forum will see 30 business owners from Jiang Xi network and explore business opportunities in Sabah.

The proposal was shared with Sabah Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe during the group's visit to his office in Wisma Kewangan here yesterday.

After the courtesy call on Phoong, the group met with the management of Sabah Credit Corporation at its Donggongon headquarters.

Read more Sybil also aimed to assist the Sabah Economic Advisory Council (SEAC) in formulating a policy to develop young economic leadership in the state when it presented its vision and mission in a meeting in the office of the Chief Minister, added Wong.

It is in line with the Chief Minister’s call to young business and industry leaders in Sabah to partner with the State Government and assist in realising the state’s development agendas for the benefit of Sabah and the people.

Sybil is now officially registered with the Registrar of Societies with 120 members and 30 members on its executive committee.
