KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Justices of the Peace Council (Majaps) has launched its 2025 Raffle Project to raise funds for orphanages and old folks’ homes.

Tickets, priced at RM50, are open to life members and the public, with prizes including a Proton X50, Proton Saga, Yadea electric scooter, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, and various home appliances.

Majaps president Datuk Seri Clarence B. Malakun urged members statewide to support the initiative, noting that sales, while initially slow, are improving.

Majaps has 265 life members, including prominent figures from government, law, business, media, and politics, and members are eligible to join the Commonwealth Magistrates and Judges Association.
