Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Karate Association (SKA) are represented by 11 athletes at the 42nd Makaf National Senior Karate Championship to be held at the Bukit Kiara National Sport Complex starting today (Wednesday).

No target was set by SKA but its secretary general Julian Chin hoped the athletes will deliver their best in the six-day competition.

At the same meet held in Melaka last year, the team clinched third spot with three golds, one silver and eight bronzes.

The contingent left for Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday and is led by team manager Iskandar Damis with Danny Fredoline, Farlin Frederick and Clevelence Carlos as coaches.
