Kota Kinabalu: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Sabah Parks Board of Trustees and the Korea National Park Service (KNPS) will facilitate cooperation in the areas of park and protected area management, research, education and conservation.
State Tourism, Culture and Environment Assistant Minister Datuk Joniston Bangkuai said the preservation and protection of parks or other protected areas is the shared goal of Sabah Parks and Korea National Park Service.
“Hence, I see that this MoU is necessary for both parties to share knowledge and expertise and use what we have learned to develop a park management system that is more suited to the needs of both regions,” he said during the MoU signing ceremony, here, Friday.
