Kota Kinabalu: Sabah still has a long way to go if it is keen on developing the cruise tourism sector.
The State must establish a basic port terminal to serve passengers disembarking and embarking on the cruise liner, according to MatthewPaul Tours and Travel Chairman Matthew Chin.
He emphasised that the present Kota Kinabalu Port needs a major renovation to meet the standards of a cruise port.
Chin also suggested building a shaded walkway for visitors’ convenience to stroll to the city.
