Kota Kinabalu: Investors – both local and foreign – are finding it hard to employ quality Sabahan talents, according to Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MICCI) Sabah Immediate Past Chairman Datuk Seri Panglima Wong Khen Thau.
He said SK Nexilis (a Korean copper foil plant) and SBH Kibing Solar New Materials (M) Sdn Bhd (being part of the Chinese’s Kibing Group which as the largest float glass production in Asia for the production of solar panels) are facing challenges in hiring skilled workers, besides other infrastructure issues.
State Industrial & Entrepreneur Development Minister Phoong Jin Zhe acknowledged the problem and said that he is looking into resolving it.
