
KOTA KINABALU: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrested a civil servant on suspicion of submitting claims containing false details to obtain land compensation payments worth approximately RM111,000.
It is understood that the suspect, a man in his 50s, was arrested at 11am Monday when he came to give a statement at the Sabah MACC Office.
The suspect is believed to have committed the act in 2014 by submitting false claims, allegedly to help his family members receive land compensation payments from a state department.
