Sabah Maju Jaya house keys for 20 families in Sook

SOOK: Some 20 families here received house keys for the “Rumah Mesra Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ)” programme.

Presenting the keys, Sook assemblyman Datuk Ellron Angin, who is also State Youth and Sports Minister, said the 20 families are from the list of 2022 recipients.

He also said the 2023 and 2024 list houses would be implemented soon.

“Another 300 applicants from Sook who are eligible under the e-Kasih list are still waiting to get this facility,” he said at the Rumah Mesra SMJ key handover ceremony, at Kampung Biah Tengah, here, Tuesday.

He hoped the house recipients would not abuse the facility.

“I would like to remind the recipients to appreciate the State Government’s efforts by not abusing the facilities, such as renting to others or not residing in the house,” he said.

Also present were Sook Assistant District Officer Caroline Benjamin Jiugan and Sook Community Development Leader Tony Talasoi.
