Kota Kinabalu: Sabah MIC has pledged its unwavering support for the current State Government led by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
Its Chairman Peer Mohamad said the party’s stand has been consistent since Hajiji was given the mandate to helm the State in 2020. MIC headquarters has been silent.
“Hajiji is a leader of calibre who engages various political parties and is able to ensure political stability and unity in Sabah.
“We have also seen comprehensive economic growth in Sabah under Hajiji’s leadership, especially in agriculture, industrial and tourism sectors, despite various challenges following the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said in a statement, Tuesday.
Peer also reiterated Sabah MIC’s commitment to render full cooperation and assist the State Government so as to ensure all development agendas and economic growth plans to succeed and to make the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) halatuju a realisation.
