Sabah Mineral Management obtains 2 globally recognised ISO Certifications after successful reforms

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Mineral Management Sdn. Bhd. (SMM) has successfully obtained two internationally recognised ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 37001:2025 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) certifications, marking another significant milestone in the company's journey towards organisational excellence, good governance and sustainable business practices.

The dual certification demonstrates SMM's unwavering commitment to delivering quality services, strengthening governance, enhancing operational efficiency and fostering a culture of integrity across all levels of the organisation.

SMM team verifying and evaluating reports.As a Sabah State GLC entrusted with the management and administration of the State's mineral resources, SMM recognises the importance of implementing internationally recognised management systems that ensure accountability, transparency and continual improvement in fulfilling its mandate.

SMM Chief Executive Officer, Natasha SIM described the achievement as a significant milestone that reflects the collective commitment of the Board of Directors, Management and employees towards building an organisation founded on quality, transparency and accountability.

"The achievement of being QMS and ABMS certified is not merely about obtaining internationally recognised certifications.

This also reinforces the fact that the internal reforms carried out in the past two years within SMM continues to meet objectives of good corporate governance.

Although the certifications represent a major achievement, SMM views this as the beginning of an ongoing journey of continuous improvement”.
