Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Perjuang fully supports the recent passing in the Dewan Rakyat of the Anti-Hop Bill and its support by 209 Members of Parliament as a positive step towards good leadership in the country.
Its Information Chief Winston @ Hassnal Majuning said the move was in line with the aspirations of Pejuang.
“However, for this new law to be effective, the Government must tighten the loose ends.
“If there is any loophole, then more problems rather than solutions will emerge later,” he said.
He added that the Government should also hold a roadshow to explain the new law to the people, adding it was important that the people at large understood it.
“We hope the Government will explain the details to the people since this is an important new law,” he said.
He added that the courts must be free to interpret and enforce this new law so that no other party can misinterpret it.
“We don’t want this law to be manipulated by any party,” he concluded.
