“Remember this slogan as well as Malaysia Madani (Civilised Malaysia). This is our focus for next year’s celebration,” she told reporters, Tuesday.
Muda President Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman’s decision in disapproval of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s DNAA court grant relating to a corruption case has left Muda a standalone in Sabah.
Sabah also has SAPP which is a part of the Unity Government but also a Perikatan Nasional component.
Parti Warisan and Barisan Nasional are too with the Unity Government. However, at the State level they act as opposition to the ruling Gabungan Rakyat Sabah.
Muda Sabah Chairman Amos Thien, when contacted, said it is the party’s interest to do the best for Sabah.
“For now, we would like to discuss this further,” he said.
Christina was met after officiating the Sabah State Archives Department exhibition at ITCC Mall in Penampang which she hoped to become an annual event during the Merdeka month.
“They have dug up so much history from the archives, some of them I didn’t even know.
“This is important for the young people especially to learn about our country and State’s independence,” she said.
She added that she was impressed by the visitor turnout, adding that it will be a busy next three days.
