TAWAU: Sabah PKR Leadership Council (MPN) Chairman, Datuk Dr Sangkar Rasam and his entourage is visiting all branches statewide for the first time.
It is to monitor preparations for the 15th General Election.
He reminded members to remain committed to strengthening PKR’s struggle and restore the confidence of the voters in order to be able to form a government at the federal level together with a combination of component parties under Pakatan Harapan.
“Let us maintain the momentum of the 14th GE because Tawau Parliament got the highest majority for PKR seats in Sabah with 4,727 votes.
“Therefore, the campaign machinery this time has to work harder to maintain the victory of the PKR seat in Tawau.”
Head of PKR P190 Tawau Branch, T.Y. Fung welcomed the group and thanked Dr. Sangkar who officiated the new Tawau office located at Jalan Kongsi 10.
Fung also informed Dr Sangkar that their machinery was ready to face the 15th GE.
According to Fung, the PKR P.190 Tawau branch would also be the operational headquarters for the upcoming 15th GE machinery.
The ceremony ended with a welcoming session where Dr Sangkars and the group were invited to have afternoon tea with the members of the branch present.
The tour group would continue their journey to Lahad Datu in their next visit.
