
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah PKR has condemned claims linking Tun Musa Aman’s appointment as the 11th Head of State's to an alleged political agenda by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The party dismissed allegations that the move was to position Datuk Mustapha Sakmud as Chief Minister.
AdvertisementIt also said the appointment followed Article 1(1) of the Sabah State Constitution, which grants the Yang di-Pertuan Agong authority to appoint the Head of State after consulting the Chief Minister.
“All parties must respect the Constitution and stop politicising this process,” PKR said in a statement.
