PARTI Kebangsaan Sabah is set to contest 60 seats in the coming polls, said its president Datuk Jismit Japong.
He said they had earlier planned to contest 55 seats, but due to growing demands, the party increased its numbers.
"We are confident of winning 38 to 40 seats, thus forming the new state government," he said.
He also launched the 21-point party manifesto which among other included the introduction of a special RM1 fuel price for petrol and diesel and free education from kindergarten to university levels.
"We plan on having 16 ministers and 32 deputies in the state government which will include four new ministries.
"These are for Mineral Resources, Education, Health and Corporate Affairs," he said.
The party also intends to bar non-Sabah-based parties from participating in state politics, emphasising that Sabah’s future should be determined by local leadership. – November 10, 2025
