
KUDAT: Halal tourism has potential to be developed in Sabah since the State has a strong ecosystem to meet the needs of Muslim tourists from all over the world.
Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister (Islamic Religious Affairs), Datuk Ruslan Muharam, said exploration of the Islamic consumer market can further boost the State’s tourism industry.
According to him, the concept of halal tourism has developed around the world and is implemented in many countries such as Thailand, Australia, Switzerland and others.
