Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded 144 new Covid-19 cases on Monday compared to Sunday’s 137.
Sabah Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said there was not much difference in the number of new infections.
“This is in line with the number of test samples which did not change much, which were 1,337 yesterday (Sunday) compared to 1,375 today (Monday),” he said in a statement, Monday.
He said the positivity rate also did not change much, from 10.84 per cent to 10.85 per cent on Monday.
Although the number of infections is not much different, 20 districts recorded at least one new case compared to only 15 districts on Sunday, he added.
Five districts recorded double-digit cases, namely Kota Kinabalu 37 cases (-19), Sandakan 13 cases (-21), Kudat 12 cases (+9), Tawau 12 cases (+1) and Tuaran 10 cases (+2).
Seven districts did not record any new infections on Monday.
A total of 140 out of the 144 new cases are in Category One and Two, one case in Category Two and three cases in Category Four.
