Tuaran: Shangri-La Rasa Ria’s ‘Ocean Golf’ experience tourism was launched by Deputy Chief Minister and Ministry of Industrial Development Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam on Dec 16 at the resort’s beach front with participation of local and Korean golfers teeing off with “Biodegradable Fish Food Golf Balls” into the South China Sea.
Inspired by the theme “Tourism Futures Reimagined” from the 6th World Tourism Conference (WTC) held at SICC in Kota Kinabalu last November, the launch timing was perfect as it was an innovative way to realise the vision. This new guest activity will be available in 2023, revealed General Manager Fiona Hagan who said, “Shangri-La Rasa Ria is proud to launch Ocean Golf Unique Experience, kicking off the new product ‘Biodegradable Fish Food Golf Balls’.
“We are thrilled to initiate this new exciting experience as one of our guests’ activities for 2023, hoping to create a memorable experience for our guests whilst striving to do good for our environment,” said Fiona.
