Sabah's air quality okay amid Indonesian volcano eruptions, says Asits

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah's air quality has not been affected by an Indonesia volcano's' eruptions which have disrupted many flights, according to State Health director Datuk Dr. Asits Sanna.

The department has made risk assessments and found no need currently for the public to wear facemasks, he said in a statement.

The public, however, are advised to obtain treatment if they have respiratory problems and follow air quality reports by the Environment Department, added Asits.

Mt. Ruang in North Sulawesi has been erupting for a few days and disrupted local flights and those serving Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan.
