
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Covid-19 caseload spiked to 171 on Tuesday from Monday’s 109 cases.
“The increase is in line with the much larger number of test samples at 2,099 compared to 1,212 on Monday,” said Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.
He said the positivity rate dropped slightly to 8.15 per cent compared to Monday’s 8.99 per cent.
Five districts recorded double-digit figures, namely Kota Kinabalu with 52 cases (-2), Tuaran 34 (+14), Papar 17 (+12), Penampang 12 (+9) and Lahad Datu 11 (+11).
Nine districts did not record any new cases over the last 24 hours.
Of the 171 cases recorded on Monday, 169 are in Category One and Two, while two cases are in Category Four.
