
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s caseload breached the 200 mark with a new high of 248 cases on Wednesday from 199 the day earlier.
One death was recorded in Kota Kinabalu.
Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the surge in cases was due to an increased positivity rate, which was 11.78 per cent on Wednesday compared to 9.23 per cent on Tuesday.
Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 92 cases, followed by Sandakan (17), Lahad Datu (16), Keningau (15), Tawau (15), Papar (13), Putatan (11), Kota Marudu (10) and Penampang (10).
“Six districts did not record any new infections,” he said in a statement, Tuesday.
He said 242 out of 248 cases were category one and two infections while four cases were in category four and one each in category three and five.
No new clusters were identified.
