
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s daily Covid-19 cases increased to 297 Thursday, an increase of 32, compared to Wednesday’s 265.
“Today’s (Thursday) positivity rate is 10.83 per cent, which is not much different from yesterday’s (Wednesday) 11.28 per cent. There was a slight increase in the number of test samples to 2,909 compared to 2,864 on Wednesday,” said Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.
Kota Kinabalu again recorded triple-digit infections with 114 cases, an increase of 39 compared to Wednesday’s figure.
Six other districts recorded double-digit cases, led by Sandakan with 44 cases (+8), Tuaran 25 cases (+14), Putatan 20 cases (+/-), Tawau 13 cases (+1), Penampang 12 cases (-13) and Lahad Datu 11 cases (-13). No new infections were reported in seven districts, namely Beluran, Kalabakan, Kuala Penyu, Kunak, Pitas, Tenom and Tongod.
A total of 294 of the 297 cases recorded on Thursday are in Category One and Two, while one case is recorded in Category Three and two in Category Four.
