Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Covid-19 cases continued to dip to 354 on Friday from 360 the day earlier.
Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the positivity rate dipped slightly to 12.64 per cent from 13.18 per cent the day before.
He added that there were a lower number of test samples, which was 2,999 on Friday compared to 3,027 on Thursday.
Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 91 cases, followed by Sandakan (44), Tawau (39), Penampang (32), Papar (28), Tuaran (27), Beaufort (12), Lahad Datu (12) and Kuala Penyu (11).
“The number of districts recording at least one case increased from 20 to 24. This means only three districts are free of infections, compared to seven the day earlier.
“Fourteen districts recorded an increase compared to eight that recorded a decrease,” said Masidi.
He said 346 out of 354 cases were category one and two infections, while three were in category three, four in category four and one in category five. 79 per cent were sporadic infections.
No deaths or new clusters were identified.
