TUARAN: Sabah is gaining international recognition as a sailing destination, with more than 100 sailors and 29 yachts from 16 countries taking part in the Dalit Bay Nautica 2025.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said the growing popularity of nautical tourism could soon make it a major draw for visitors to the state.
He noted that Sabah’s natural advantages - its coastline, waterways, and scenic beaches—position it well to offer unique sailing experiences.

He added that sailing events like this could spur economic activity, promote Sabah’s cultural heritage, and raise the State’s profile globally.
The event also supports the State’s target of 3.5 million tourist arrivals this year, contributing to a more diverse tourism sector.
Hajiji said Sabah’s natural landscapes, from oceans to mountains, continue to attract nature lovers and adventurers from around the world.
