PAPAR: Pantai Manis Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) fully supports any decision made by Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) leadership on political cooperation for the upcoming 17th State Election.
Its chief, Datuk Seri Abdul Rahim Ismail (pic), said any alliance must reflect the hopes of Sabahans, reiterating his support for Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor’s position that the State should be led by a local party.
He stressed that the slogan “Sabah for Sabahans” should be embraced as a call for unity and political stability, not as a threat to national cohesion or the Federal Government.

He said that while national parties have long played a role in Sabah, local sentiment now favours leadership by homegrown parties under GRS.
