Kota Kinabalu: New Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong’s trip to Sabah is more than just a homecoming – one also of hope and respect.
“It is an act of hope that my story and my family’s story can contribute to the relationship between the nation of my birth and the nation to which I belong, that it can bring information to strengthen the relationship between our countries,” Penny told a select audience at Le Meridien, Wednesday.
Penny, the first of Asian descent and who earlier served as Australia’s Climate Change Minister, played a leading part in the return of the Albanese Labour Government in that country’s elections in May, this year.
