Kota Kinabalu: The State Government is still refining policies for Sabah’s very own Malaysia My Second Home (SMM2H) programme and is expected to be ready early next year.
State Tourism, Culture and Environment Assistant Minister Datuk Joniston Bangkuai said the Immigration Department has received 21 applications for the programme so far, from China, Korea, The Philippines and the United Kingdom.
“These applications in principle have been approved at the department level, but had to be temporarily put on hold in view of the Covid-19 pandemic and also until the SMM2H policies are implemented,” he said.
