The Sabah Government Teachers' Union (KGKS) has praised the Education Ministry’s decision to allow transfer applications for teachers who have served at least two years, calling it a major step forward for teacher welfare.
KGKS president Murkam Hj Hussien said the move brings relief, especially to teachers separated from their spouses or dealing with health issues. He said the policy supports mental well-being and boosts morale.
The announcement was part of six key initiatives revealed by Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek during the 54th Teacher’s Day celebration in Kuching.
