Sabah to continue supporting local offshore support vessel firms: Nizam

Kota Kinabalu: The State Government will continue to provide various initiatives to help local offshore support vessel (OSV) companies thrive, said Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister, Datuk Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan.

“The oil and gas industry is one of the primary economic sources in Sabah," he said while officiating the launch of Beaufort Marine Sdn Bhd, here, Thursday.

“Sabah has great potential for oil and gas exploration with several active oil and gas fields and many more under exploration planning.”

Beaufort Marine is a local OSV company with the largest and most sophisticated Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) in Sabah.
