NUSANTARA: State Industrial Development and Industrial Development Minister Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe noted that Kota Kinabalu is the closest point to Indonesia’s future Nusantara capital city (IKN), compared to Kuala Lumpur in the Peninsula and Kuching in Sarawak.
“This close proximity between Kota Kinabalu and Nusantara is very interesting. So this will definitely bring opportunities in terms of trade, investment and property development to both parties.
Advertisement“Certainly, not only will entrepreneurs from Indonesia benefit, but also entrepreneurs from Sabah can tap this opportunity with the huge development that is happening,” Phoong said.
He said this during a briefing session delivered by the Middle Expert Financial Analyst, Deputy for Funding and Investment of the Nusantara Capital Authority (NCA), Igor Mangunsong, on the IKN development progress at Swissotel, the first 5-star hotel to be operational at the IKN.
