
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah will be hosting the 2023 Annual General Meeting of the Girl Guides Association of Malaysia (PPPM) this June.
PPPM Sabah Branch President, Kartini Arif, said the meeting would be officiated by Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah who is PPPM Patron.
“The meeting will be held simultaneously with the National Level PPPM Commissioners’ Conference at one of the leading hotels from 22 to 25 June.
“However, the opening ceremony will be held at the Sabah International Convention Center (SICC) on June 22,” she told the media after paying a courtesy call on the wife of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri, Toh Puan Norlidah RM Jasni at Istana Seri Kinabalu on Thursday.

She added, among the contents of the meeting was to discuss the PPPM programmes that will be implemented, in addition to the presentation of the Royal Girl Guide Award, the Best Commissioner Award and awards to members or individuals who are active in providing excellent service to the association,” he said.
Also present were Sabah Branch PPPM Commissioner, Shirley Wong, Sabah PPPM Liaison Officer, Normah Jaafar and Sabah PPPM Executive Body Officer (Exco), Kathy Tsen and Emily Yapp.
The last time Sabah was given a mandate as host was in 2006.
