Kota Kinabalu: Tourist arrivals to Sabah rose 4.1 per cent from January to August, dismissing claims of a decline.
Assistant Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Andi Md Shamsureezal Mohd Sainal said international arrivals increased by about 6.9 per cent, while domestic arrivals grew 2.1 per cent.
He disclosed this after officiating the Sabah Matta Fair at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) on Saturday.
The three-day fair, from Sept 18 to 20, features 83 travel agents offering various travel packages.
