Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s move to reacquire Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) from federal control has received strong backing from captains of the Chinese business community in the State.
They believe it will fuel key industries to create strong and sustainable economic value chains which will benefit people’s lives never seen before in decades.
Sabah United Chinese Chambers of Commerce (SUCCC) President Tan Sri Andrew Liew said the move initiated by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor can be considered a masterstroke as industries such as mining, oil and gas, the industrial tree plantation and silica processing plants could bring in billions in potential revenue for the State.
