Kota Kinabalu: Sabahan National Defence University of Malaysia (UPNM) students had a huge smile on their faces as the university flew them home on a military plane for Hari Raya recently, it has been reported.

As Hari Raya Aidilfitri approaches, Sabahan students studying away from home face challenges in returning to their hometowns due to high airfares, WeirdKaya reported.

To alleviate this issue, the UPNM organised the flights for students heading to Sabah. At least 11 students were able to fly back home.

This initiative aimed to facilitate joyful reunions and celebrations during the festive season, reported the social news site.
