Kota Kinabalu: A Sabahan girl with end-stage renal failure has had her dream to become a model come true.
The Children’s Wish Society of Malaysia (CWS Malaysia) has showcased a photoshoot of 13-year-old Jessica Magdeline on Facebook.
They wrote: “Sabah’s own Sumandak (which means lady in the Kadazandusun ethnic language) from Tamparuli, Tuaran, Jessica Magdeline shows off her modelling skills as she confidently takes the spotlight in front of the camera,” the post said according to World of BUzz.
“Jessica, who suffers from end-stage renal failure, got her wish fulfilled by Talent Shop Sabah and Children’s Wish Society of Malaysia, where she got to dress up, have her makeup done and model for the cameras, which kept clicking non-stop.”

“Given her difficult social circumstances, her chances of receiving a renal transplant (the curative treatment for kidney failure) are slim,” CWS Malaysia explained.
“We are glad that we had the opportunity to grant Jessica her wish. The society continues to grant wishes to ailing children across the country, especially in Sabah and Sarawak.”
