
PAPAR: Olivia Richard, a Sabahan who passed away in South Korea on Dec 4, was laid to rest at Libagu Cemetery on Thursday.
The 46-year-old’s remains were buried following a final farewell at her family home in Kampung Novoung, attended by close relatives and friends.
AdvertisementHer younger sister, Dora, 44, explained that the family ensured Olivia’s immediate return to her hometown upon her arrival in Kota Kinabalu on a flight from Seoul.
"We reached home around noon for family and friends to pay their final respects," Dora said, adding, "By 1pm, we had to take the remains to the cemetery for the burial ceremony, and we were grateful for the fine weather as Olivia was laid to rest by 2pm."
