Sacked Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel rejected an approach from Sevilla this month, it has been revealed.
Before hiring Jorge Sampaoli, Sevilla made a move for Tuchel, says BILD.
Sevilla sounded out Tuchel before sacking Julen Lopetegui, but the German turned them down as he sought a "bigger challenge".
Tuchel was dismissed last month by Chelsea after a sluggish start to the season.
Sevilla, meanwhile, hired Sampaoli before parting with Lopetegui a fortnight ago.
