Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia alleged large-scale irregularities and open hooliganism by the ruling Aam Aadmi Party during the Majitha Nagar Council elections. Majithia claimed that no election result had been declared till 2.30 pm despite the completion of the counting process. He alleged that officials engaged in vote counting were receiving direct instructions from the Chief Minister’s Office.

Majithia accused the state government of trying to manipulate the election outcome through pressure tactics and administrative interference. He warned that the party would strongly oppose the alleged irregularities and would approach the Punjab and Haryana High Court against high-handedness in the civic body polls.
