Kota Kinabalu: A woman claims she began developing a lump on her forehead after getting cheap facial fillers from China marketed as “Hartinna cell regeneration/ cell activation” in May.

The 32-year-old noticed swelling three weeks after getting the injections via insulin pens costing nearly RM400 which also caused some swelling around her eyes.

Worried that these would become permanent, she obtained a sample of the substance from the beauty salon and had it analysed for its contents.

“No labs in Kota Kinabalu could carry the particular analysis, not even in Kuala Lumpur, so I sent it to the nearest capable lab which is the Beijing Qingxi Technology Research Institute in China.
