SANDAKAN: Former Sukau Assemblyman, Datuk Saddi Abdul Rahman, together with 30 others have established the Kinabatangan Anti-Corruption Movement.

The movement is currently a sponsor, pending registration with the Registry of Societies Malaysia (ROS).

Its objectives are to raise awareness among the public in choosing leaders with integrity and clean from any corruption during this election season.

Saddi said, as a start, they would take the anti-corruption message to all corners and residents of Kinabatangan.

He said if they received any reports of wrongdoing during GE15, they will also report this to the relevant authorities.

“Our focus is not only on Kinabatangan but in any areas we can reach so that more will be aware on the importance of integrity,” explained the movement’s leader.

“The question of integrity is the most important thing, especially for our future,” he said at a press conference, here, recently.

Saddi also hoped the Election Commission in the future would consider screening candidates and amend laws to allow only those who are free from corruption cases to contest.
