KOTA KINABALU: The Tanjung Aru Perdana Park operator said the park remains closed due to safety risks, citing damaged infrastructure and facilities.

A meeting on Dec 23, chaired by City Hall Deputy Director of Operations Robert Lipon, included representatives from the State Finance Ministry, Sabah Public Works Department (PWD), and City Hall's Health, Landscaping, and Public Relations departments.

AdvertisementThe operator highlighted issues such as deteriorated jogging tracks, corroded playground equipment, and non-operational attractions like the musical fountain and jumping jets.

PWD has assessed the damage and provided a cost estimate for repairs, which is now under review by the State Finance Ministry.
